On April 23, 2020 meals for nearly 100 families were loaded onto Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) buses for distribution in southern Dallas. DART and The University of North Texas at Dallas Mobile Market joined forces to reach families in food deserts in southern Dallas with fresh produce, food and other necessary items during COVID-19.

Volunteers loaded and unloaded the buses as part of a partnership with DART, UNT Dallas, Toyota, the Oak Cliff Veggie Project, Lone Star Human Services and Grow North Texas.
