COMTO and WTS International signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on January 12, 2020 to a packed room during WTS’ Annual Winter Reception in Washington, D.C. More than 250 attendees witnessed COMTO and WTS International formalize their partnership to reach their common goal of diversity, inclusion and equity in transportation. Both organizations have worked tirelessly for a number of years to increase opportunities for women and minorities in the transportation field. With an MOU now in place, both organizations will share information and resources and partner on future programs and initiatives. COMTO Board Chair Freddie Fuller and WTS International Chair Maggie Walsh signed the MOU. Also present were COMTO President and CEO Brad Mims and WTS International Executive Director Sara Stickler.
“COMTO and WTS have more than 90 years of combined organizational experience. We have a shared vision and goals with many of our members taking part in both organizations. This MOU will help us leverage our knowledge and resources to make an even greater impact on the transportation industry in regard to diversity and inclusion,” said Brad Mims, President and CEO, COMTO.
