COMTO Workshop: Leading Change in Transportation—Critical Skills to Accelerate Change and Innovation Post-COVID
December 9, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:15 pm
Join us for our last event of the year—a strategic planning workshop to support transportation leaders in anticipating and addressing the evolution of leadership development set in motion by COVID-19.
The COVID-19 pandemic thrust the transportation sector into unexpected and unprecedented levels of innovation and change by demanding every facet of the industry to rapidly react to the shifting external landscape. Moving forward, many new influences (such as increases in Federal infrastructure investment and expectations by exhausted employees and customers that we ‘return to normal’, to name a few) will confront leaders with powerful tensions and challenges.
Leaders must assure their teams can adapt, innovate and perform under these new shifting and uncertain circumstances. But did the breakneck experiences of the pandemic effectively prepare your current and future generation of leaders with the long-term, repeatable skills to proactively innovate and improve? Or, might leaders instinctively revert to more incremental, status-quo thinking in the face of these challenges as they return to post-COVID work?
Using an interactive assessment, led by Kimberlee Williams, President of the Center for Strategy Realization, we will explore the post-COVID landscape, and the change leadership capabilities required to encourage and accelerate innovation in that environment. Participants will leave with key insights into high-level gaps that will focus attention on developing priority change leadership skills for your and your agency’s leaders.
- Appreciate the new business context for leading change post-COVID
- Discover the 7 critical skills leaders must have to accelerate change and innovation
- Conduct a high-level assessment and identify gaps for yourself and your leaders
- Ability to evaluate whether your leadership development is reinforcing status-quo
- Articulate and advocate for the 7 critical skills back in your agency
- Begin to create an action plan to close the change leadership gap
- Register by December 2, 2021, to participate in this interactive workshop led by Kimberlee Williams, President of Center for Strategy Realization.
- Complete the following leadership assessment by December 2, 2021. You will be sent the results in advance of the workshop where Ms. Williams will provide a group assessment and answer your questions.
