Dominique “Dee” Mathes, Business Development and Marketing Manager, DuBois Consultants
As the Business Development and Marketing Director for DuBois Consultants Inc., Dee Mathes has worked her way through management over the past 10 years. Aside from providing services in sales, customer service, underwriting, and human development, she continues to work as a cosmetologist and as an educator and mentor in her community. She is passionate about cultivating a collaborative environment that fosters employee growth and entrepreneurial culture. At the core of her leadership philosophy, she believes work should be a place where employees feel supported and valued by their team and leadership. Her career is proof that there is no substitute for hard work.
Dr. Grady Dale, President, The American Institute for Urban Psychological Studies, Inc.
Dr. Grady Dale, Jr. Ph.D., has major interests in improving the lives of those he serves in the community and various professional endeavors, including his involvement in the transportation industry. Dr. Dale earned his doctorate in psychology, counseling, and guidance from the University of Northern Colorado in 1975 and has been practicing clinically and consulting for 35 years. He has held faculty positions at four universities over the years. Dr. Dale has also been involved with the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials for over 20 years, not only as a member but also served on the Board from 2014-2016.
Yvell Stanford, Deputy Chief, Organizational Design and Development, New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA)
Yvell Stanford, is the senior elearning, leadership and capabilities officer within New York City Transit’s People and Business Transformation department. A team player with an eye toward collaboration, she is an enterprise leader whose primary role is to formulate the strategy to drive her agency’s guiding principles, learning direction, goals, policies and practices. With over 25 years’ experience in outcomes-based public management and education, she possesses a full complement of skills, including employing gamification, business analytics, technology, learning theory, performance consulting, public speaking, project management and scientific inquiry.
Dr. Lester Woods, Chief Administrative Officer, Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT)
Dr. Lester Woods was appointed Chief Administrative Officer on April 1, 2020 after serving in the position on an interim basis since July 2019. In this capacity, he oversees four MoDOT divisions including communications, diversity and inclusion, health and wellness, and human resources. He has been with MoDOT for 19 years, and previously, served as MoDOT’s External Civil Right Director for 15 years. Before coming to MoDOT, he worked in human resources at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Woods holds a bachelor of science degree in wildlife biology from Grambling State University, a master of public administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia and was conferred with a doctor of ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in May 2020.
