Roquita C. Williams is an award-winning sales leader, railroad professional, inclusion advocate and TEDx speaker — Roquita C. Williams has managed growth strategies and market expansion for supply chain giants, UPS, CN Rail and now Patriot Rail and Ports where she presently serves as Assistant Vice President of Sales.
In 2011, she permanently changed the landscape in this male dominated industry, becoming the 63rd president-and, first African American-of the Memphis World Trade Club. In 2016, she became one of few female managers certified as a locomotive conductor for a Class 1 railroad in the U.S. Her fresh perspective and boots to the ground experience has earned her a spot among international thought leaders. Her TED talk, “How Determination Saved Me and How it Can the World,” shows how you can turn bias and prejudice into a commitment to inclusion.
Roquita is appointed to the Board of Commissioners for Memphis Area Transit Authority where she governs policy for Tennessee’s largest transit agency. She has received national recognition and honors including Memphis Top 40 under 40, Business Journals Super Women in Business, Progressive Rail Magazine’s Rising Star of N.A. Railroads and NAACP Distinguished Service to name a few.
Aisha Eccleston serves as JAXPORT’s Director, National Container Accounts, responsible for developing new and existing container cargo business with accounts throughout the United States.
She has been with JAXPORT for more than a decade, serving in business development roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, she served as the port’s primary liaison with area freight forwarders and customs brokers to grow existing business and attract new business opportunities.
In 2017, Aisha was named one of the Jacksonville Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40, recognizing the area’s most successful young business leaders. She is active in Northeast Florida’s maritime community and is immediate past president of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO), Jacksonville Chapter.
Aisha holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Edward Waters College and a Certification in Transportation and Logistics (CTL) from the University of North Florida.
