Dr. Delon Hampton had a long, distinguished career in the engineering industry, including starting his own firm in 1973, Delon Hampton and Associates (DHA) in Washington, DC, at a time when there were not many Black-owned engineering firms. The company later grew into a multi-million-dollar company with six offices in the U.S., and won contracts for high-profile projects including the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. Dr. Hampton’s contributions to COMTO are many. He was one of the original charter members of COMTO back in 1971, and through his company, DHA, he supported many of our programs and initiatives.
