COMTO in Conversation: Joi Taylor Dean, Chief Executive Officer of Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority

In our first COMTO in Conversation series, we sat down with Joi Taylor Dean, Chief Executive Officer of the Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority in Virginia (RMTA), about her experience in transportation where she says every day is an adventure. Joi is no stranger to being the only woman or woman of color in the room, but she’s undaunted and determined to excel no matter the obstacles: “We’re not in these rooms by ourselves. We have people whose shoulders that we have stood on and individuals who have poured into us that allow us to walk confidently in these spaces.” RMTA is also a sponsor and charter member of the newly formed COMTO Richmond chapter.
