Please join us in welcoming COMTO Minnesota as our 35th chapter! COMTO Minnesota will carry the organization’s mission throughout the state by working with transportation professionals, agencies, corporations, historically underutilized businesses, non-profits and educational institutions. COMTO Minnesota will be led by Tekia Jefferson, DEI Manager, Metropolitan Airports Commission, who will serve as chapter president. The chapter’s sponsoring organizations are Minnesota Valley Transit Authority and St. Cloud Metropolitan Transit Commission.
“COMTO Minnesota is excited to become the newest chapter of COMTO. COMTO National is about excellence in transportation and bringing together the knowledge, skills and life experiences of people of color to advance the sector and the communities that it serves,” said Tekia.
“Minnesota has been front and center on social justice matters, so it is the right time for a COMTO chapter in Minnesota. COMTO Minnesota will build on the excellence of its members and will be a showcase for collaboration between community leaders of color and transportation professionals of color to innovative and overcome systematic racism of the past,” she added.
We look forward to hearing more about the great work of COMTO Minnesota throughout the state and nationwide.
