COMTO Colorado held a week full of events November 18 – 21 which included:
Monday 11/18 – Breakfast Panel Discussion/Small Business Expo held at the Forney Museum of Transportation. Project opportunities with DEN Real Estate, Regional Transportation District and the newly formed City and County of Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure group. New members were also recruited to join COMTO during this event.
Tuesday 11/19 – Adams County Commissioners – Youth Career Expo – COMTO Colorado hosted an exhibition booth to educate students about potential careers in Transportation. The event accommodated over 6,000 8th grade students from 33 middle schools in Adams County.
Wednesday 11/20 – Volunteering at the Food Bank of the Rockies. COMTO Colorado Chapter volunteered Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the Food Bank of the Rockies assisting with the preparation of meals for 4,400 people and packaging of 54,000 tons of food. Link to shared photos can be viewed here.
Thursday 11/21 – Board of Directors Meeting to plan 2020 calendar of events and, the Monthly Members Meeting & Mixer sponsored by Shrewsberry & Associates with the City and County of Denver presenting on their current minimum wage increase ordinance.
